Sturdy shoes your child can get off and on independently
Comfortable clothes that can get very dirty!
Backpack (Large enough to hold a lunch box and water bottle, but small enough that your child can comfortably carry it themselves on hikes!
1-2 extra masks in a ziplock bag in your child’s backpack
Water bottle
Lunch, including an icepack in the fall/spring. Lunch containers like a bento box or Yumbox that are easily opened by small hands are perfect!
Snack, packed in an outside/easily accessible backpack pocket (not with lunch).
Apply sunscreen and bug spray before arrival
CHECK THE WEATHER, and if rain is in the forecast, wear or send rain gear and boots!
