Becky Pilipowskyj
Becky (she/her/hers) is thrilled to be back for another year at CBI Forest School! She earned her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Master's in Special Education from American University, in Washington, DC. During her senior and graduate years, Becky and her husband, Nick, spent a lot of time visiting his hometown of Charlottesville. After a year in Arlington, VA, and a year in Charlotte, NC, they moved to Charlottesville, and have been here ever since.
Becky has taught everything from 2nd-5th grade, teaching in public schools, a Catholic school, and a traditional Jewish Day School over her six years in the classroom. Becky believes her varied experiences with demographics of students, grade levels, and school settings have made her into the dynamic educator she is today.
CBI has been a consistent part of Becky’s experiences as a Jew-C participant, religious school teacher, and BITY leader. She feels especially fortunate to continue her career as a Forest School educator and to create lasting relationships with the students, families, and staff!
In her free time, you’ll find her eating the amazing food Charlottesville has to offer, enjoying the city's beautiful parks, and spending time with her family including her husband, Nick, and Bluebird son, Colin.
